Our Story.

Swainstons Ltd (previously Swainstons Windows & Conservatories) originally started as a glazing shop in Stockton High Street for timber windows back in 1964. Today Swainstons now offer a wide range of products and services across the North-East and Yorkshire.
Since 2004, Swainstons have been based in our 20,000 square foot factory where we continue to fabricate our own doors and windows in-house. Our glass shop alone allows us to cut, fabricate and supply units to our trade and public customers. With our products being manufactured in-house by our own craftsman you can guarantee a quality product – eliminating any risks from third party involvement which also reduces the turnarounds.

Swainstons Ltd are also members of various recognised trade associations, ensuring standard and maintained on a day to day basis and our customers benefit from the high level of craftsmanship applied to all of our products. We have been accredited within the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme for which we are enormously proud, having met and maintained all the standard set over the past 5-10 years.
Since 2008 we have carried out glazing repairs and replacements for local landlords and councils, offering them our years of experience in the glazing industry. This includes emergency callouts and board-ups for properties across Teesside and the North-East.
From 2015 Swainstons invested heavily in the conservatory warm roof system as an option for customers interested in replacement or new roofs for their conservatories. Being a qualified installer for Guardian (one of the UKs highest quality warm roof) we have now carried our many replacements roofs for customer allowing them to use their conservatory all year round.
Come 2019 Swainstons have now moved into the next generation with Karl Swainston taking the reins of the business from his father, Garry. Swainstons have been awarded repairs and maintenance contracts for the Thirteen Group, Cleveland Police, Cygnet and Stockton Council which our long serving team of experienced staff offer the best service possible.
